Downhill skiing
Two large ski resorts are located nearby:

• Tahko, 52km. In the wintertime via ice road only 29km
• Vuokatti, 107km.

Fishing

• Lake Korpinen
• River Tiilikka, a popular location for fly fishing

Hunting

• Hunting grounds of Villi Pohjola, Jyrkkä-Kontio 7604 and Siera-Yöttäjä 7614, about 22 km

Paddling/rowing

• Korpinen, Älänne, Lake Tiilikka
• Tiilikka River paddling route
• Rafting available at Vongankoski in the springtim

Hiking

• Area of Älänne and Huuhkaja route contain 19km of nature routes with resting areas
• Tiilikkajärvi National Park is suitable for hiking shorter distances

Cycling

• Scenery route around Lake Korpinen 20km, mainly gravel
• The roads have great scenery and little traffic. The cabin is 7km away from a paved road

• Rowing boat and fishing rods available for use.

Älänne area and Route Huuhkaja

• Huuhkaja route (6km) circles around ridges, ponds and River Tiiilikka, and with its resting areas is suitable for hiking for the whole family.
• Näätähiekka is a sand beach by Lake Älänne that is surrounded by boreal forest. At the beach you can find a resting area with an outdoor bathroom, grill and usually some wood. It is accessible by car.
• Haatainniemi trail which is 10km (back and forth) starts from Näätähiekka and follows around the shores of Lake Älänne. The beautiful sand beaches of Haatainniemi and its resting area are suitable for a day trip in the summertime.
• A connecting trail from Vongankoski to Näätähiekka which is 3km follows River Tiilikka.

River Tiilikka

• River Tiilikka with its fish filled rapids is a popular location for fly fishing.
• River Tiilikka is also a demanding paddling route which is not suitable for beginners. It is 70km long and its rapids are best suited for paddling in the springtime.
• Paddlers use Vongankoski rapid as a location for practicing and competing in the spring.

Tiilikkajärvi National Park

• A versatile nature destination that is especially suited for hiking day trips, canoeing and rowing. Boats can be rented from the park's info.
• Uiton kierto (7km) is the park's most popular trail and it goes by the wonderful sand beach Venäjänhiekat. On the beach there is a popular resting area suitable for spending the night.
